woot, i just love badminton!:D watched the south zonal finals ytd. was awesome stuff mann! ri won ac for C div but lost narrowly for the B div with 2-3. really nice to watch...
for the B div, the 1st singles was the toughest fight with masa against jie xiong. rubber set and masa won in the end. could tell that jie xiong was getting really tired coz his smashes suddenly became weaker and less sharp coming to the middle of the 3rd set. apart from the 1st singles, the other matches seemed really clear who the winner would be. both of ri's doubles won and ac's 2nd singles won. leaving the final match as the decider - ming jun against that elvis guy. ri seemed to have messed up in that last match and ming jun won in the end. cant rmb the 1st set but the 2nd set was 21-19. so close yet so far, hence acsi was the winner.
apart from that, raffles seemed to have won the rest of the games. not only for the guys but the girls as well with rgs against scgs. got a confession to make, which is i so totally support sc over rgs. hehe. reason being? coz i dont really know anyone from rgs (except my sis?) and i was hoping that scgs could overthrow rg!:P
for their B div, it was also 3-2. a really really close match. rg won the 1st singles but sc fought back for the doubles and totally owned rg mann!!:DD woohoo! that match was totally awesome to watch and sc won straight sets! oww, my eardrums nearly burst when they won that match coz the entire sc cheered really loud and high pitch? yeap... the sc spirit, really cool stuff. on the other hand when rg cheered, they were the exact opposite lah! their pitch was extremely low can! haha.
i so believe sc could have won lor! coz their 3rd singles won, and their 2nd doubles was a really close match! they rubbered with rg and the entire match lasted really very long. was cheering for sc all the way man! its too bad rgs had to win:/ haha. oh well thats okay. coz the nationals are coming soon! so cant wait to be back in action!
also quite an upsetting result was that sji lost to ang mo kio 2-3 and got 4th in the end. i seriously feel we could have won them but oh wells. as i said, nationals are coming soon!:D
it seems like im not the only one who supports sc, but even my chinese teacher does! today during chinese period she was talking to us about which school is more refined and all. then she was like practically promoting scgs lah! HAHA! she kept saying that although rgs is smarter she prefers scgs coz when she invigilated at scgs all of them smile at her very politely?? then she went on saying that she wants her daughter to go scgs... etc etc and lots more. wont go any further into that topic.
sheesh. already received 4 scripts of the common test back already. some turned out quite well! others... not good at all... failed my chinese...again:/
