alright so, you'dve thought that finishing the last bit of details on your word document, then printing it out, wouldnt take you too long a time to do... hey guys! im back! and i've got nooze for youu. dont ever freaking try to print your stuff in school. seriously.
so, recently i think murphy's law has found his favorite victim. today was the deadline for the final draft of WR for pw.. uuh yeahh so the situation was sorta like this: my group was about to finish its last touches on the WR, and then print it in school after we were done, and then hand it up. sounds really simple and clear cut right! apparently not..
we made our way to the library where most ppl go to print their goods straight from the coms. well well whadaya know! those coms were totally unable to read our ms word document. seemly our group leader abby had her versions too updated like 2008 while the library com's 199sth versions couldnt recognise a word.
alright no problem! we go to the com lab! afterall com lab coms shouldnt be that outdated rightt. so yeah we were right! we were able to open our WR but there were much changes that incurred due to the less outdated but outdated nonetheless computer.
we were starting were growing more frustrated. we double checked the entire report and fixed any errors that had occured. now we could finally print the damn thing out and go home. you wish.
now we went downstairs to the photocopying shop to buy a printing card(we hadnt done so earlier coz there was never a need to before this) right so i paid for it since i was the guy. we rushed back to the com lab to print the one sided 50 paged tree killing document. whoohoo guess whats next.
now the printing machine stated "insert your printing card into the slot". and we did, and it could not get in. after analysing the machine, we realised there was another printing card stuck inside the machine. so we now began to try all means of getting the darned card out eg. pushing the eject card button, using friction to drag it out, checking the machine options, restarting the machine, plucking out the slot case, dewiring it, tapping it lightly, tapping it, hitting it, knocking it, inserting a sentosa card into it...*~churns churns churns~* HEY WAIT, IT ABSORBED THE SENTOSA CARD IN TOO!
now we were all going the wth omg. "why dont we use the machine in the library!" "but the coms in the library cant read our document!" right so after a while, suddenly the machine randomly vomitted out the two cards. wow okay awesome! now its no longer jammed! lets print it NAOO! putting in our freshly bought printing card into it. *~churns churns~*... "insert your printing card into the slot" BUT WE JUST DID BOWZOE!!! "put in the sentosa card! maybe it'll vomit both of them out again like just now!" anddd thenn
now the machine was getting way over its own head. it began playing games with us by ejecting and immediately absorbing the cards back. so there it went back and forth until after much effort, i managed to grab whole of the cards and pull them both out by force.
thats enough. we're going back to the library and pray for a miracle to happen. back in the library, coms still too outdated to open the document. then abby spotted 1 computer with windows vista! ohh glorious. we tried it and it WAS able to open our WR! rejoice!!! whoohoooehhh... wth, that one com was not connected to the printing machine!
we were really going to just forget about it and go home but i tried asking the librarian for assistance. explaining the problem to her and trying to gain her sympathy. finally she allowed us to try to use one of the staff computers and thats whenn at lastttt we got it printed.
so after printing our WR, we were thinking of returning the printing card to the shop and requestiing a refund since it proved useless. however, the shop was closed. well i guess there goes my 5 bucks.
then we went down to the PW room to finally hand in our work, only to find it ALSO CLOSED! nice wasted effort guys. wth is wrong with this world, seriously!:(
what do yall think of mr bean and jolly bean? my friends tell me that mr bean is way better than jolly bean and all but i always thought they tasted the same! so now on my way back home i was really hungry so i decided not to be prejudice and try out buying from jolly bean.
now there were only 2 guys in front of me in the queue. a small fat chinese kid and another small malay kid. while waiting my turn i looked at the different flavours of pancake. not bad what, they sell it at like 90 cents! its cheaper than mr bean! so will it be cheeze or chocolate... hmmm
after a minute or so i started to wonder what was taking the 2 in front of me so long to order.(was wearing my sony ericsson earphones all this while so i couldnt hear them) so i took my earphones off to connect back to the world, only to hear the chinese kid, the malay kid, and the cashier aunty arguing about money.
right let me tell you very briefly what they were squabbling about. so, the cashier overestimated her abilities to cash in 2 orders simultaneously without getting confused. so now the chinese kid bought his stuffs and wanted to go off already but the cashier lady kept telling him that he hasnt taken his change - a 2 dollar note. but the chinese kid was an honest little fellow and insisted back that it wasnt his! so the cashier asked the malay kid if it was his and the malay kid, also an honest little fellow, said it wasnt his! apparently the 2 dollar note just appeared there.
so the lady told the chinese boy that it must have been his and told him to just take the money. so the boy was like "uhh.. really arh... okay lor... thanks!" and he left.
now the malay kid "aunty you never give me my drink yet!" aunty goes "ah, one cup of %#$^$*, 2.30 thank you." now the malay kid only takes out 30 cents and says" just now you already take my 2 dollars already" aunty looks very shocked now. fumbling for words she repeats herself," one cup 2.30" so the malay kid also repeats himself! "i paid you 2 dollars already!" and this goes on repeatedly for another 2 or 3 times.
now wait a minute if the lady could just think, wouldnt she have found 2 bucks very veryy familiar? its funny she didnt even realise where it went. its even weirder that they couldnt even communicate with each other properly to explain the problem. so now the aunty, not so good in english, decides to speak to the malay boy in chinese! -_- now the kid also gets frustrated and starts mummbling in malay as well.
all this time i was still waiting to order my pancake. however the lady didnt even bother to take my order 1st coz i've been standing there like forever. she kept arguing with the little malay kid! eventually she was like "i think you come again next time bah" but the malay kid now convinced than ever that hes been cheated went" but you took my 2 dollars!" so now me being tired hungry frustrated and irritated by all this nonsense shit, just walked away.
on my way back home, i walked pass a familiar face. he was happily drinking his soya bean drink with the 2 dollars still in his hand. all the poor fools... whats wrong with this world! seriously!
so now i've concluded that i agree with my friends! jolly bean really sucks much more than mr bean.

i had quite a nice week. thought it was going to be a killer with 3 tests we were supposed to take but my prayers were answered and 2 of my tests were postponed to next week. recently i've been cutting some slack, not doing homework on the day that i get it anymore, but on the day before its due. copying the answer sheet(Yosua's answers), and procrastinating a lot. so far i've tried my best keeping tip top in my work and its worked out pretty well! but i dont know how long i can keep this up. this week i've found the dangerous lure of slacking around. its really appealing and once you start it really just keeps calling you back for more. also, theres a lot of peer pressure around like certain few i-shall-not-mention-names who perpectually call you a mugger just because you keep up with your work and do well in the tests. but well actually, isnt that what schools are for! the primary purpose of school is to study isnt it. so say all you want man, in the end i still beat you, too bad!;P and besides, neither do i like to study, nor do i do it all day. im just an ENFJ, i still have my social life to help me relax so im good:D
recently i've got a sudden burst of motivation to train and i dont really know why myself! basically the situation here is that our team next year is kinda screwed with all the star players gone and stuff. so far acjc's managed to maintain top 4 in the competitions for the past few years. da yang is really scared we wont be able to get it this year so hes got some new season resolution shit to kill us with 10 rounds of track every other training or sth. the last time my training was so hiong was all the way back in sec 1! but i guess its good luh... especially for me who's got a way lot to improve before im ready next year. also, this week's the first time i used the school gym to play around! its quite fun and i think gymming is really effective so im considering actually going more often for fun!
went to acsi for their little carnival thingi yesterday. it was a really last minute decision made and shaunald and i went down there for the morning. actually thought i was gonna feel quite awkward there but to my surprise, i actually knew quite a lot of ppl there! so it was pretty cool in the end. shaunald also introduced me to a few of his friends. really nice friendly and funny people they are. though its really sad coz our primary purpose for going to the carnival wasnt really accomplished, but instead i saw a number of other long lost friends:DDD if only we saw that one long lost friend we were planning to meet... ah wells!
next week is another long week with tests all over! with luck i'll make it through till national day! till then ciao yall!:D

its been a long time since i last posted. this holiday has been quite good for me. the initial phase of june i was mugging my head off cause i knew there wasnt enough time to study for the terms cause i was to go to china for more than a week and time was really short. i thought this holiday was gonna be damn screwed. however due to a sequence of turn of events, this holiday didnt turn out half bad.
the china trip got canceled. after much consideration my parents decided to go to aussie instead! so there! aussie was just simply awesome lah. i can understand why so many of us keep migrating there. i was very impressed by their service sector. the people there were really kind friendly and hospitable. they've got that nice cool accent of theirs. and the weather there was like omggg i wish singapore was like that. lets just say i didnt even sweat at all when i was there.. well except in the arcade when i was playing time crisis but thats understandable.
i really enjoyed myself there and im glad i went. it thought me how to relax again and it was a good break from all that stressful stuff. on top of that, i bought my very 1st pair of havaianas over there for just 25 bucks. and a new ripcurl leather wallet(finally) for a really cheap price too!:D and alsooo, i love kangaroos dont you! their just damn cute luh:D we also visited jeanette's family at perth! their house is really nice and they have table soccer there!! they've also wii which we played most of the night away after we had dinner at this chinese restaurant where jian sheng and i were finally able to indulge in our best friend - rice - once again. apparently life is good for jeanette over there. her schooling hours like like from 9am to 3pm everyday or sth like that. its really nicee.
when i got back i thought i was gonna die returning back to this crazy place. was behind time in my studies and everything. but, fortunately while we were away, singapore announced a 7 day quarantine for all those returning back from pig flu countries. so there! im exempted from 5 out of 6 of my papers. the only paper i need to take is bio, my favorite subject.
so things actually falled into place perfectly and i dont think its coincidental at all. i really thank God for everything thats happened here. Hes great and awesome and nothing can take his place:D guess this has taught me too that things dont always go according to what you plan them to. at the start of this holiday i was actually really troubled by all this going on in my head. sometimes you just gotta rely on God and pray coz not everything is up to us and under our control.
went to church yesterday! feel like i havent been there for a while. its great to be back. nat had a high fever and went to the hospital to check for pig flu but resulted negative! though its negative, still hope you get well soon nat!:D
i also got sucked up into the youth day skit next week! its kinda interesting and fun to be part of a church skit again. the last time i was involved was at CCIS when i was sec 1! kinda nostalgic in a different kinda way.
so well now i got the whole week at home. gotta make sure i ace this bio exam since its the only one im doing. but this time i can take it slow(:
